Dear learners, I invite you to delve into a brand-new social action project starting with September 26th 2016 and connect with your peers around the world in this global classroom called Learning Circle on the topic: ME Becomes We. Learn 2 Change.
You will find out how different, on one hand, and how similar, on the other, we are and what we can do to make a meaningful difference in our community, society, and in the world, in general. By working together and completing the challenges you will increase understanding of people's living conditions and lifestyles across the world, as well as raise awareness about the responsibilities we need to take in order to assure that we and the members of our community live decently.
In this Learning Circle you are going to share ideas, thoughts, experiences, stories with your colleagues from 6 countries: The Netherlands, Nepal, Canada, Romania, Ukraine and Moldova.
The Project lasts form September 2016 till January 2017. It consists of 4 main Phases: Introduction, Challenge 1, Challenge 2, and Completion and Evaluation, including an individual assignment in PeerScholar application. Each phase includes several assignments you can work on together with your colleagues.
The benefits of participating in such a project are manifold. Consider these ones:
  • you can gain important life skills, such as problem-solving skills, critical thinking and a sense of ownership over your own actions,
  • you can get a hold of ICT (information and communication technologies) skills, and learn to communicate  efficiently virtually, and
  • gain an understanding of global collaboration and cultural perspectives.
Think what might be something valuable that you could do for someone else to change his life for better and make a positive social impact and how you can make others act for the sake of people's well-being. Don't wait, take initiative! Be socially active! Become a 21st global citizen!
Have a look at the following diagram which shows you the essential skills a 21st century learner needs to master nowadays.
