As it was mentioned earlier, we are going to undertake the issue of tap water in our country in this Global Project and we will try to find out as many details as possible to address this issue. In the end, we will make an attempt to work out a few solutions to raise awareness among the local authorities about drinking water quality improvement and availability all around the regions of Moldova. Before we learn how we get tap water to our homes, let us learn a few facts about water importance, consumption and its use. Now it is time for us to discuss our Project Idea on Global Issues: Environment. Have a look at the following Project Idea on Tap Water below. We are going to collaboratively work on this idea together with our international partners and make an interesting presentation tackling this vital global issue. As we have agreed, the questions in the project idea below are going to be divided among the students, so that we can all contribute with our ideas to this project. What should water be tested for? Who is responsible for water treatment services in your area? Mary takes: 7.Can tap water pose threat to our health? Point out the risks of infection population might be exposed to and the health problems it might cause. All the students have to give an answer to the Question 8, by suggesting 1 or 2 specific ideas to address this issue. 8.What policies/actions can you suggest in order to protect the water sources and to get access to proper sanitation of tap water? How can we monitor the adequate work of tap water providers? Propose a few specific ideas and mention who can help us handle this vital people’s right and commodity. We are going to work on the same theme-based project for about four months. During the allocated time both teachers and students from around the world are going to introduce themselves, exchange classroom surveys about their schools and communities, share welcome packages via postmail, develop a Project Idea that would tackle a specific environmental issue, swap ideas and opinions in the Student Forum and finally create an authentic work, using digital tools, which will be published on the official website in the section Final Learning Circles Publication. At the end of the Project all the participants get International Certificates of Excellence for the valuable contribution to the iEARN mission of changing the world for the better. All the schools have submitted their classroom surveys which are a great source of intercultural understanding and help us prepare for the cross-cultural collaboration.
